Ron Daws competed in the 1968 Olympic Marathon for the United States. While in high school and college Ron was considered by many to be an "average" runner. After graduating from college Ron stuck with his running to see how good he could get. This interview from the mid-1980's is well done, and sums up what it means to be a distance runner.
