Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

I "ran" across a group of Facebook called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff.

To help put things in perspective a little... racing definitely falls into the "small stuff" category in life. Here is the group's description on Facebook...

If there is one thing experience teaches us, it is that life is all about perspective. There are too many tragic things that a person will experience in a life time that cannot be seen in a positive light. We cannot change the fact that losing a loved one, hunger, and poverty, among other things, are negative occurrences. We can, however, change the way we view the small, everyday annoyances like rush hour traffic, waiting in line at the coffee shop, etc... Why let these minor setbacks bring us down? The negative energy these annoyances produce are contagious and we take that energy with us to work and home to our loved ones.

All it takes is a conscious effort to take a deep breath and decide whether it makes sense to let the situation upset us or shrug our shoulders because "that's just life." Don't get me wrong, we can't always shed a positive light on these annoyances, but if we become aware of the negativity we spread, we can then change our perspective more often than not.
