Haslett Invite Recap

Saturday gave us a good taste of true fall cross country. Mud, rain and more mud. Times go out the window and all that matters is who you beat and what place you take. I know many want a chance to get on the top 10 record board, but it seems that many moved on from this goal and just raced on Saturday. Sometimes not worrying about time allows you to run freely and fast, as many did.

We accomplished a lot on Saturday. It was great to finally win the invitational on the boys side. Just think we are the best team in 39 years+ at Haslett High School. Let's build on that and accomplish even greater things. Next goal is to get the girls to win a team title. With a lot of hard work and time we will get there. I can't wait.

Next up... tomorrow is our second of three Jamborees. Just like Saturday where time goals went out the window, we need to approach this race the same. Every place matters. You will run fast... don't worry about that. Just let it happen. Get out fast the first mile, pick it up the second mile, and kick it in the last mile.

Playmakers and LSJ gave us some nice press... Link
