I would like to thank everyone who attended the Haslett Foundation's 2010 Inspiration Awards Ceremony this past Wednesday. It was a very special occasion because of everyone's presence. Words can not express how much it meant to have you all there... or wait. Maybe there is a word after all.

At the ceremony when I was given the chance to say thank you, I briefly talked about how myself and many others are just a piece to the puzzle of raising the youth in our village. The saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is right on. Haslett is a great "village" because we have so many important and unqiue puzzle pieces, that when we put them together we have a master piece.
On Friday evening the Stanko's watched Mary Poppins. Had I watched this movie prior to Wednesday, I would have been able to elaborate on this a little more. Something along the lines of... this award is a product of being a part of a
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Village. A village that is "atoning for educability through delicate beauty."

Nick: Drennan forwarded me the announcement of your award! I very much enjoyed the video! Connie and I have seen your billboard on I-94 during our drives to Ann Arbor celebrating your victory in the Detroit Marathon. We look forward to meeting up with you and Theresa in the near future.
