Risky Business

The other day when I talked about taking risks I meant on the track. When I walked into my classroom this fine Thursday morning, I was lucky the sprinklers where not going off.

Back to taking risks. You train passionately and intensely in practice so when you toe the line on race day you are ready to take risks and jump to the next level. It's definitely not easy being a distance runner... if it was it would be called checkers... or something like that. Running all out for 2 miles, yes it is intimidating but do it right and it can be one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. For most of you that is 9 to 12 minutes redlining it. I'm sure it took you longer than that to light those candles... so I know you are willing to take risks. My friends, have no FEAR!
