It was great to see so many Haslett runner's at the Lansing Turkeyman Trot. The fall season has now officially come to an end. Next week the runners have a week off from their training. They have definitely earned their week off... and should be so proud of all their hard work they have put in over the last few months.
After the Regional meet in October, meeting to run has been optional for many. It has been amazing to see so many of the runners from the team meeting at 4-corners on their own after school. Meeting as a group after school to train during the winter is exactly what we need to do to reach our full potential. Some days it will be hard to get out the door when the temperature is well below freezing and the snow is blowing... but just remember
"The harder you train, the harder it is to surrender." - Vince Lombardi
I looked through 835 pictures from the race that Playmakers put up on their website. I think I found all the pictures of everyone that ran. Some I could not find pictures of. I even found Becky on her cool-down! Thanks to everyone that made it possible to run on Turkey Day! We are so THANKFUL for and really APPRECIATE everyone's efforts to making running a priority.
