Thanks to all my great math teachers, I was able to do the math and compute almost everyone's last mile or 2-miles of Saturday's Progression Dance... I mean Run (gotta get my head out of the gutter). Thanks for being flexible and coming out to practice on Saturday morning. The course was wet, muddy, and soft so it definitely slowed things down on the grass. Getting on the track for the end of the progression run should have allowed you to considerably pick up the pace. There are a variety of results from the workout, and I am going to dismiss it as an off-day because of it being a recovery week (the body/mind sometimes do funny things when you change the routine) and because of the "funk effect" homecoming seems to have on some.
Some runners were under their 5k race pace, some where close, and some were on another planet. Everyone ran hard and put in a solid effort, so the work is done... whether the results make any sense or not. Hopefully the lighter training week has given your body some
Rest and Recovery, and we will now be back at it until the Regional, where we hope to have everyone in perfect form, ready to run a great race.
